Kaizer Chiefs transfer news: Frosler, Jodwana, Radebe, Saleng
Today’s news wrap.

Today’s Kaizer Chiefs transfer rumour wrap includes Reeve Frosler, Thiani Jodwaba, Monnapule Saleng and Sabelo Radebe.
New deal for Frosler
Kaizer Chiefs have agreed a deal in principle over a new contract for right full-back Reeve Frosler, according to SABC Sport. The 27-year-old has 19 appearances this term but is currently sidelined with an injury. He’s been with the club since 2019, and his current deal expires in June. His most recent outing was the 3-1 Nedbank Cup quarterfinal win at Stellenbosch in early March.
Chiefs target Durban City midfielder Jodwana
According to Soccer Laduma, Kaizer Chiefs are plotting a move for 31-year-old Durban City midfielder Athini Jodwana.
Three players are on their way out of Kaizer Chiefs
According to Soccer Laduma, Chiefs have already decided to cut three senior players from their squad, namely Mduduzi Mdantsane, Tebogo Potsane, and Sabelo Radebe. The club is looking to balance their roster as well as salary expenditures.
Saleng to Kaizer Chiefs was the April Fool’s Joke nobody wanted to hear
All jokes aside, after hesitating to sell Monnapule Saleng, and with all possible suitors knowing he’s unhappy at the club, that will certainly drive his price down. Pirates’ bargaining position is significantly weakened because of the player’s reluctance to stay, but that doesn’t mean they can’t get a good sum for the 26-year-old. The record departure in Pirates history was €2.3 million (R44 million) when Mbulelo ‘Oldjohn’ Mabizela moved to Tottenham in 2003-2004. It’s unlikely the Sea Robbers can fetch a number in that region, but there’s no reason why the 2022-2023 PSL Player of the Year shouldn’t command a decent fee. They should be looking to recover at least half (R22 million), especially if they can bring Sundowns to the market. The main question there is: do they want to strengthen a rival?
