FIFA introduced a $60 (R1,005) ticket category for the 2026 World Cup after fan backlash over high prices. This "Supporter Entry Tier" will make up 10% of each national federation’s allotment for all 104 matches. Fan groups and politicians, however, criticized the move as insufficient, arguing that most fans will still face high prices.
