Kaizer Chiefs' Brandon Petersen and Orlando Pirates' Sipho Chaine are contenders for Bafana Bafana's FIFA World Cup 2026 squad. Petersen, the Chiefs captain, was considered but missed out due to injury. Chaine, despite strong league performances, was omitted due to disciplinary issues but remains a strong candidate if he rectifies them.
