💨 Abstract
The Cape Winelands Airport, set to open in 2028, has received Environmental Authorisation, advancing its multi-billion-rand development. The initial R8 billion phase includes a 3.5km runway, a boutique terminal, and supporting infrastructure like cargo facilities and hotels. Approval validates extensive environmental and community consultations. Groundbreaking is projected for late 2025, positioning the airport as a key regional hub for travel and business.
