The South African passport ranks 48th globally on the Henley & Partners Passport Index for 2025, allowing visa-free travel to 106 countries, with Singapore holding the top spot at 195 visa-free destinations. The index evaluates travel power based on the number of countries that can be accessed visa-free. Africa has 34 visa-free countries, while Asia has 17.
