💨 Abstract

Opening windows after a shower can promote mould growth in bathrooms by mixing warm, damp indoor air with cool outdoor air, leading to condensation. Mould thrives in humid, poorly ventilated spaces, with bathrooms being two to three times more affected than other rooms. To prevent mould, experts suggest using shaving foam on mirrors, wiping down surfaces, keeping extractor fans on for longer, and using moisture absorbers.
