đ¨ Abstract
A study reveals that gaining excess weight before age 30 nearly doubles the risk of early death. Weight gain in early adulthood, especially between ages 17 and 30, significantly increases the risk of premature death from conditions like heart disease and diabetes. Obesity in younger adults raises the risk of early death by 79% for men and 84% for women. The cumulative effect of carrying extra weight over time is the most deadly.
