💨 Abstract
Scientists have identified blood type A as a potential risk factor for breast cancer, the most common cancer among women. A global study found an 18% increased risk for those with type A blood compared to type O. While the UK's most common blood type is O+ (36% of the population), A+ comes next at 30%. The study suggests that blood group antigens in breast tissue might influence cancer development and spread.
