💨 Abstract
A 16-month-old toddler, Asa Allen, was rushed to the hospital after swallowing a button battery from a camera remote. Kasey Allen, his mother, initially thought Asa was tired and put him down for a nap. Later, when his condition worsened and he began coughing up black chunks, she took him to the hospital. The battery was removed nine hours later, and Asa had to undergo extensive treatment, including physiotherapy and reconstructive surgery.
