💨 Abstract

A cheap supplement made from oats may help reduce harmful "forever chemicals" (PFAS) in the body. These toxic substances, found in various household items, accumulate over time and are linked to severe health issues. A recent study by Boston University researchers showed that oat beta-glucan fibre, taken before meals, reduced levels of two dangerous PFAS forms by 8% in a month. The fibre binds to bile and PFAS in the gut, helping to excrete them.
