💨 Abstract

A study published in The BMJ suggests that P2Y12 inhibitors may be better than aspirin for long-term prevention of heart attacks and strokes in patients with coronary artery disease. P2Y12 therapy was associated with a 23% lower risk of cardiovascular death, heart attacks, or strokes compared to aspirin, with no increased risk of major bleeding.
