💨 Abstract
The historic pub, the Hare and Hounds in Clayton-Le-Moors, Lancashire, has permanently closed after 200 years, despite local efforts to save it. Landlady Clare expressed gratitude to the community but criticized the owner, Thwaites, for its decision, citing high operational costs and budget implications. A petition started by Liam Loughlin to save the pub gained nearly 700 signatures.
