💨 Abstract
Starting June 2, Lloyds Bank and Halifax will stop paying interest on student current accounts, affecting thousands of customers. Currently, Lloyds offers 2% interest on balances up to £5,000, while Halifax offers 0.5% on all balances. TSB will remain the only student account provider offering interest, at 5% on balances up to £500. Lloyds highlights other benefits like fee-free overdrafts and cashback offers.
