💨 Abstract
Major UK banks like Lloyds, NatWest, Santander, and Halifax are closing numerous branches in June. NatWest plans to shut 53 branches this year, while Santander is closing over a fifth of its high street branches. Lloyds Banking Group, which owns Halifax and Lloyds, will close 254 branches over the next year. Nationwide Building Society, however, reports increasing branch usage, with nearly 200,000 more customers visiting in the past year.
