HMRC is sending letters to 1.5 million parents to remind them to extend their Child Benefit claims for children aged 16 to 19 continuing in education or apprenticeships. If parents do not update their claim by August 31, payments worth up to £1,354 annually may stop. Notifications will be sent until July, with QR codes directing parents to the GOV.UK website for online updates.
