💨 Abstract
A popular restaurant chain, The Cosy Club, has closed its location at Ipswich’s Buttermarket Shopping Centre after nine years due to financial struggles. The closure was described as a "very difficult decision" by Managing Director Lucy Knowles. The hospitality industry faces mounting pressures from rising utility, food, and labor costs, and declining consumer spending. Despite this closure, another branch, Marinero Lounger, by the same operator will open in Ipswich at the Waterfront.
