Residents of the Ingleby Manor estate in North Yorkshire are upset because housing developer Bellway plans to trim their privacy fence from 6ft to just 1.5ft. They believe this will increase anti-social behavior and expose children to nearby ponds. Bellway claims the reduction is required to comply with original planning conditions, but residents feel they were not properly consulted. They also say they might not have bought their homes had they known about this change.
