A BAND of heavy rain is set to drench the UK - but forecasters say warmer temperatures are on the way. The mercury would likely climb to the low-to-mid teens in parts of the north later this week, and upper teens in southern areas. Forecasters said the rain will gradually clear to the east leaving a drier and cloudy afternoon.
