šŸ’Ø Abstract

Daniel Graham and Adam Carruthers, who were later convicted for cutting down the iconic Sycamore Gap tree near Hadrian's Wall, were previously questioned by police over a homophobic attack in Cumbria just days before the tree felling. The victim was verbally abused and doused with icing sugar. Despite evidence, including videos of similar incidents, prosecutors did not charge the men due to insufficient evidence and identification difficulties.
