On May 9, a child was seriously injured after being hit by a car near Great Coates Village Nursery School in Grimsby, suffering a broken leg. The incident occurred around 3:30 PM on Station Road as the child attempted to cross. The child was promptly taken to the hospital. The school's head, Sarah Bate, expressed gratitude to the staff and community for their support and stated the school's commitment to working with local officials to enhance road safety.
