Leia, an 11-year-old cat, vanished on April 11 and was found trapped under floorboards three weeks later in Deal, Kent. She was discovered with a half-drunk can of beer, suggesting she may have survived by drinking it and possibly eating small animals or insects. Leia had lost a third of her weight by the time she was rescued on May 4. Her owner, 83-year-old Ben Smith, expressed relief and joy at her safe return.
