💨 Abstract

A new dog-sized dinosaur, Maleriraptor kuttyi, discovered in Telangana, India, lived during the Triassic period, around 220 million years ago. This species is one of the earliest known carnivorous dinosaurs, belonging to the Herrerasauria family. The fossils, found 40 years ago, reveal that these dinos roamed more of the Earth than previously thought, potentially surviving longer in India due to its climate.
