💨 Abstract
Torquay, known as the "Queen of the English Riviera," plans its largest redevelopment since the 1980s. The £11 million project involves demolishing nine shops at the Union Square shopping center to create a mixed-use area with apartments, shops, restaurants, offices, and a GP surgery. The historic pannier market and multi-story car park will be preserved, with the market's exterior and a public square redeveloped.
