💨 Abstract
Russia and Ukraine agreed to swap 1,000 prisoners of war during their first face-to-face peace talks in three years in Turkey. The talks stalled as Russia demanded Ukraine withdraw troops from its own territory as a precondition for a ceasefire. Ukraine rejected this, calling it a "non-starter," and challenged Russian President Vladimir Putin to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Russia's foreign ministry insulted Zelensky, calling him a "clown and a loser."
