💨 Abstract
Project Riese was a vast, incomplete underground complex built by Nazi Germany using slave labor near the end of World War II. Situated in Poland's Owl Mountains, it consists of seven underground sites, one of which is the City of Osówka. The project, codenamed "Giant," was initially intended for military or strategic purposes, but the exact use remains unknown. Despite 5,000 workers dying during construction, it was never finished.
