💨 Abstract
The Mexican navy ship, Cuauhtémoc, crashed into the Brooklyn Bridge after losing power, causing all three masts to snap. The incident occurred around 8:20 pm local time as the ship attempted to depart from Pier 17. Two people died, and 19 were injured, with the vessel carrying 277 individuals. Footage shows the ship moving in reverse towards the bridge, with onlookers fleeing as masts struck the bridge.
