💨 Abstract
Spanish airports, including major hubs and those on the Costa del Sol and Mágloira, are facing significant issues with rough sleepers and insect infestations. Madrid's Barajas airport had to be fumigated due to a bed bug problem, with 400 people reportedly sleeping rough. Similar issues are reported in Malaga, Palma, and Mallorca's Son Sant Joan airport, raising health and safety concerns. Airport staff have reported insect bites and unsanitary conditions.
