💨 Abstract
Locals in Thanet, Kent, were disappointed when Stevens Markets announced the permanent closure of the popular weekend market at Manston Airport. The market, which opened last year, had become a vital part of the community. The closure was attributed to the airport, which allegedly "parted ways" with the market operators. Despite initial reports blaming planning permission issues, Thanet District Council clarified they had not rejected any applications.
