💨 Abstract
Students in the South of England are nearly twice as likely to achieve three A* A-level grades compared to those in the North. Of the 5,800 students who got three or more top grades, 3,779 were from the South and 2,021 from the North. The best-performing areas were predominantly in the South, with Reading topping the list.
