💨 Abstract
A driver, Jamal Wali, was pulled over for speeding and pulled out a gun, firing at Fairfax Police officers. Wali ranted about the Taliban and his frustrations with America. After refusing to show his ID, backup officers arrived, and Wali fired multiple shots, hitting two officers. Officer Ian LaChapelle responded, fatally shooting Wali. Both officers were treated for minor injuries. Wali had claimed to have served in special forces and had four children.
