💨 Abstract
To deter migrants from attempting to stow away, foreign lorry drivers operating only in Europe are placing stickers on their vehicles stating "We don’t go to UK." These signs aim to warn migrants about the unavailability of a free ride to the UK, with some trucks even displaying these warnings in multiple languages. Despite these efforts, there has been a 22% rise in attempted illegal lorry crossings, with 5,874 detections in 2024.
