Two senior police officials, Sir David Thompson and Alex Murray, were accused of mocking an Irish colleague's accent in a 2018 video. The video, which included offensive sketches and inappropriate content, was posted on the West Midlands Police gun unit's Facebook page. Whistle-blower Becky Kalam criticized the lack of action against the officers, highlighting a double standard. West Midlands Police acknowledged Kalam's complaints and stated they would review any further issues.
