💨 Abstract

A 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck Greece and Turkey, resulting in one fatality and several injuries due to panic. The quake occurred at 2:17 AM local time about 68 km deep and off Turkey's coast, waking residents in neighboring regions, including the Greek island of Rhodes. The epicenter was in the Mediterranean Sea. People were injured from jumping from buildings as a result of the panic.
