💨 Abstract
Britain's first hosepipe ban of the year has been imposed on Youlgreave, Derbyshire, due to critically low water levels after a two-month dry spell. The 500 homes in the area are restricted from watering gardens and must use showers instead of baths. The ban is expected to last all summer and may require at least two weeks of continuous rainfall to be lifted.
