💨 Abstract

In a significant operation, up to 20,000 residents of Cologne, Germany, were evacuated following the discovery of three unexploded WWII bombs. The bombs, weighing between 500kg and 1,000kg each, were found during construction work near the Rhine. Authorities cordoned off key areas, including hospitals and schools, and set up support facilities for evacuees.
