A biker, Karl Burnside, suffered hypothermia after a high-speed police chase in County Durham. He crashed into a freezing river and was later treated in a hospital. Burnside pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including dangerous driving and driving without insurance, and was fined, banned from driving, and ordered to complete unpaid work. Durham Police's Operation Endurance aims to combat illegal and antisocial motorcycle use with various tactics.
