💨 Abstract

The UK Government is considering selling two partially built warships, HMS Belfast and Birmingham, to Norway due to budget constraints. The sale would provide the Ministry of Defence (MoD) with the financial breathing room to complete the construction of the remaining vessels. However, this move could delay the Royal Navy's receipt of its promised fleet of eight new Type 26 frigates. Norway is currently in the final phases of deciding on the purchase.
