A British backpacker, Alicia Kemp, faces up to 20 years in prison after allegedly hitting and killing a man with a hired e-scooter while over three times the drink-drive limit in Perth, Australia. Kemp, 24, was denied bail and remains in custody. The incident occurred when Kemp struck 51-year-old Thanh Phan from behind while speeding down a footpath. Phan, a father of two, died from fatal head injuries.
