💨 Abstract
During a flight from Berlin to Milan, a Ryanair plane encountered severe turbulence, possibly a “supercell” storm, resulting in eight passenger and one crew member injuries, including a seriously injured toddler. The pilot made an emergency landing in Bavaria. Passengers reported fear and lack of warning, with some suffering head and back injuries. The storm also caused damage in other parts of southern Germany, with some suspecting a small tornado. The German Weather Service is investigating.
