💨 Abstract

On Jones Beach, a police helicopter was deployed to break up fights among around 500 high school students gathered for a senior skip day party. The dramatic scene involved the helicopter hovering low to disperse the crowds, causing sand to fly. Several fights erupted, leading to one arrest for menacing and disorderly conduct. Despite the chaos, officials plan to reopen the beach as normal the next day. Locals noted that such incidents are a recent change from the beach's previously calm atmosphere.
