Gabriele Cristine Barreto de Freitas, 24, died after suffering severe burns in a motel hot tub in Curitiba, Brazil. She fell unconscious and woke up with third-degree burns. She died six days later from cardiac arrest. The family suspects a faulty hot tub thermostat and demands answers. The police are investigating, and the man she was with has not been interviewed. Gabriele leaves behind a five-year-old son.
