💨 Abstract
Matchroom ended a 30-year boxing partnership with Sky Sports in June 2021, signing a £100 million, five-year deal with DAZN. Barry Hearn, the promoter, explained the financial motivations behind the move, stating that DAZN offered significantly more than Sky. The deal did not include two-time heavyweight champ Anthony Joshua, who remained with Sky.
