New Zealand's women's rugby player Grace Steinmetz, aged 26, has been medically retired due to a brain injury diagnosis. Steinmetz, a Black Ferns player, was capped three times and played for Wellington, Canterbury, and Super League team Chiefs Manawa. She is also a barrister and solicitor, has her own sports management agency, and is engaged to fellow rugby star Rameka Poihipi.
