💨 Abstract
After winning the Championship title, Leeds United entered a unique competition: a drag race against a Formula One car on their Elland Road pitch. Sponsored by Red Bull, the club allowed three of its fastest players to race against an F2 driver. Despite a challenging start for the car on the grass, it ultimately won by about 30 yards as the footballers began to tire or tire but lost leverage of a turn near halfway.
