Coco Gauff won the French Open singles title, becoming the first American to do so since Serena Williams in 2015. Gauff defeated Aryna Sabalenka in a three-set match on Court Philippe-Chatrier. The 21-year-old overcame a slow start, losing the first set in a tiebreak, to win 6-7 6-2 6-4.
