The incident occurred during a homecoming show in Norfolk, Virginia, where Davis missed weight and was stripped of his WBO lightweight title. Keon Davis scored a knockout win, but Kelvin lost on points. Albright claimed Keyshawn and Keon Davis initiated the fight.
