💨 Abstract
Starting today, Netflix will no longer be supported on specific older Amazon Fire TV devices. The affected devices, all released in 2014, include the Amazon Fire TV Stick, the Amazon Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote, and the Amazon Fire TV. Users must check their device model in settings to confirm if they are impacted. This change is believed to be due to the devices' inability to support the AV1 codec, which is part of Netflix's premium plans.
