💨 Abstract
Cybercriminals have developed a new scam using Android malware called Crocodilus, which adds fake contacts to victims' phones to trick them into trusting scammers posing as banks or loved ones. This malware can harvest sensitive information and evade detection, spreading globally after initially targeting Turkey. To protect against such threats, users should download apps only from the Google Play Store and ensure Play Protect is enabled.
