💨 Abstract
The unique floating train line on the Isle of Wight, known as the Island Line, has reopened after extensive maintenance and refurbishment. This scenic route, famous for its coastal views, had been closed since September 2024. Network Rail has enhanced the railway and pier to better withstand extreme weather conditions. The historic Ryde Pier, reconstructed in 1814 and significantly updated, attracts approximately 600,000 visitors annually.
