💨 Abstract
Budget airlines are considering introducing standing-only seats, which could become standard for cheap flights. These seats, designed by Aviointeriors, take up less space, but have eyebrows raised due to their discomfort and odd design. While no airlines have purchased them yet, and they will likely be limited to short flights, they highlight the ongoing squeeze on passengers' comfort and space in favor of increased profits.
